Canesten Combi Pessary and Cream 2%
Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream 2% consists of a Canesten 500mg pessary, which is inserted inside the vagina, and Canesten thrush cream, which is applied to the outside of the vagina (vulva and labia). Both contain the active ingredient clotrimazole, which is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts. Vaginal thrush is the common term for infections of the vagina with Candida species of fungi, in particular Candida albicans. This infection causes inflammation and discharge from the vagina. Canesten thrush cream contains 2% clotrimazole. It is applied to the outside of the vagina (vulva and labia) to help provide immediate relief from the external symptoms of the infection, such as itching, inflammation and soreness. Do not use Canesten Combi Pessary & Cream but consult your doctor if this is the first time you have had symptoms of vaginal thrush.
